We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Sad

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne…
Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

-Michael Jackson

Tang Quartet

Such a beautiful sound, such style, such delivery…

Managed to score complimenaty tickets to a Tang Quartet performance at The Republic Cultural Centre where it is holding a month long community arts festival of music, dance, theatre and visual arts opens. The Tang Quartet is just soooo cool…*gush*

I like that such an internationally renown group consented to perform at a suburban not so prestigious  settings and at a community event no less. With artists like them willing to spend the time and effort promoting arts to the local community, it is hope that their music has touched the youths and woodlands community out there who attended today.

Not Lee Kuan Mee but Lee Kuan YOU

With National Day coming along, this clip brings back fond memories of the song that use to get stuck in my head due to multiple singing sessions in school choir.

New Toy

My sis and mum gifted me with an electronic piano for my birthday! *woots!*

It’s weighted, produces a beautiful sound and does all sorts of extra voices etc…hahaha it’s great to be able to play again after all those years….more than 10yrs me thinks!

Now, I am having fun making lots of “noise” getting my fingers used to the keyboard etc…great stress reliever too! I love the gift! *mucks!*

Currently listening to…

Tight-knit sibling harmonies have captivated pop music fans at least since the days of the Andrews Sisters and the Everly Brothers. But no sibling singing team in memory has brought more excitement to the scene than RyanDan—the performing handle for 27-year-old identical twin vocalists Ryan and Dan Kowarsky.

You can take a listen to one of their songs here: RyanDan

Loving their vocals and all that harmonization going on in there…the cd is on repeat on my player, lappie and everywhere else. It’s driving HL nuts!

Trippin, stumbling, flippin, fumbling

“You got me slippin, tumbling, sinking, fumbling
Clumsy cuz I’m fallin in love
So in love with you”
-Fergie

Absolutely loving her music video which has multiple scenes emerging from a pop-out book…never seen something quite like this style before!

Nike Plus

Trial tested this Nike + ipod sports kit today.

It was quite cool as it turns your iPod nano into a personal workout coach with real-time, spoken feedback in your choice of hunky male voice or sweet female voice to alert you of your workout milestones.

With good music and a voice motivator to indicate mid-run statistics…there’s more reasons to start running and having fun. BUT the downside to this is that you have to get a pair of Nike + shoes that have a special hole to fit the transmitter under your left sole. Unless you decide you still much rather wear your own pair of shoes…you can do some DIY modding. Anyway, the product launches only 1st April 2007, so hold your horses.
