We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
Olkgal whipped up yummlicious Vietnamese ice cream the other day and gave us a tub.
hehehe everyone loved it! It wasn’t too sweet, it was soft and creamy and the taste was just yums! Especially now that the weather is so the hot, ice cream is such a lovely way to cool down and bond over. […]
When you think about it…you spend more time with your colleagues than with your family. So having colleagues that are supportive, reliable and kind are important and also ingredients to a great team. Am glad that despite all my gripes about work, about how silly and meaningless certain policies are yadda yadda… I would say that […]
Wa… had a great time, lots of food, laughs and fun at a BBQ organized by the IT dept at work. There were more boys than girls…but we managed to take some girly shots.
The crab been hoon at AMK is yummy man…we were all licking our fingers and slurping up the soup.
The FIL happily posing with his super duper crab claw.
Another great comfort food for me is the Cheung Mun Kee’s Pig Organ Soup.
I delcare this the best zhu zha tang in Singapore. The rice is fragrant and plump, the soup is fantastic and they are generous with the pig organs. Yums!
I do love my pork
I like pork and all it’s peripherals, as you can see from my Bak Ku Teh raves.
So when news like this comes about…I am all in support for quality farming and produce + the “Stand by your ham” song is pretty farnee:
Pig farmers trot out Internet song to save bacon
In what they say is a last-ditch […]
I swear Klang has the best Bak Ku Teh (BKT) ever! Clear tasty soup with herbs and spicies, succulent pork ribs, intestines, fish maw, sea cucumbers *slurp*… it’s a completely different style from the peppery type in Singapore. Everytime we make a trip back to Klang, we make it a point to have our usual BKT […]
I attended a friend’s wedding dinner the other day and it was held at a posh Chinese Resaurant. The food was not only good, but the restaurant staff arranged for a really cool acrobatic tea pouring performance from long tipped pots before the dinner started. It was definitely an eye opener with all the drama mama […]
I like to watch “Nigella Express” on AFC. Her show has great visuals and tips for the working woman to whip up a healthy balanced meal for the family. What I like about her is that she is not impossibly skinny or too hung up over her size and that she never puts out meals […]
The whole family took a driving trip up to Malaysia last week to attend my grandma’s 90 birthday celebrations. We literally had a full fledge picnic along the way. Check out the amount of food, hot drinks etc that my mum packed to ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment during the 4-5 hour trip.
*basket is btw filled […]
An online diary of sorts...frivolous, causal and about things that I like or interest me...it's not to be taken too seriously as life is just too short.
