Blood Donation
I donated blood for the first time yesterday. I was rejected the last time due to weight issues and certain countries that I travelled to but this time everything was ok etc. My blood pressure was good, I just hit 45kg but was healthy and was cleared as a potential donor.
It was relatively painless actually…the only part that so called hurt was the iron test hahaha….but the blood donation itself was painless. Than again I had a nurse who was really sweet, professional and assuring. She’s even pictured here in the Red Cross Blood Donor site:
I also got a “No Chicken Award” certificate for my first time donating…it was corny and cute! Anyway, I think it’s a great thing to be able to contribute in a small way back to society and know that this is being used to save lives. Thinking of being a donor, just click here.

Cycling
Last week, we borrowed a lot of gear from various family and headed out on a mission….to sample the Coastal Park Connector from East Coast to Changi beach park and back. Dist approx 16km to and fro.
Wa liao…butt pain man! Somemore never reach the end coz we got too hungry hahahah… mission failed abysmally!
This week armed with a prior knowledge of the route plus with more family members, we cycled fast and furious and completed the entire route (plus got to eat ice-cream at the beach)
Now we are all feeling accomplished. ![]()

New Toy
My sis and mum gifted me with an electronic piano for my birthday! *woots!*
It’s weighted, produces a beautiful sound and does all sorts of extra voices etc…hahaha it’s great to be able to play again after all those years….more than 10yrs me thinks!
Now, I am having fun making lots of “noise” getting my fingers used to the keyboard etc…great stress reliever too! I love the gift! *mucks!*

Old New Gadget
Just installed an old (2nd hand) GPS Garmin streetpilot into the car.

but it’s soooo cool, it’s got an audio function to tell you when to turn, how much distance left till turn, estimated TOA, speed travelling (which is more accurate than ur speedo), dead reckoning blah blah…I love it! Cos it idiot proofs the trip and reduces stress of trying to find your way to destination. Am now that one step closer to the bat mobile which I was raving about the last time. ![]()

Passion?
It was supposed to be a 10km run…but according to my bil’s friend who tracked the route with his gps, it was an 11.5km run.
hmgf…my right arch hurts, and my creaky knees are aching.
argh, when will I learn to be more discipline and keep at running on a regular basis to avoid all these aches and pain?
update: run time was 01:16:18

Immensely Proud
Woah, my dad got a mention of his achievments in a book titled “Tri-ing for Success: The Next Lap” the book is about the sport of Triathlons, the various successes in regional competitions, the funny side of triathlon, achievements and the history-evolution of the rising sport in Singapore.
My dad was mentioned as :
“The oldest Singapore Ironman is Seetoh Hon. he was 50 when he did his IM Malaysia ‘01. He clocked a very good time of 14 hr 24 mins.”
That was my dad’s very first attempt at the Ironman…wa tell you, I am sooooo super proud of him
