Haato

Had some really yummy gelatos at Ridgewood Close today and it wasn’t too ex!
2 flavours for $4 with choice of cup or cone. The outlet also had great board games for you to play with friends and family.

They had some really unique flavours and their Sweet Potato with Honey and Chestnut was super yummy!! Never would have thought that you could put Gao Luck or Sweet potato for that matter in a gelato! All in all a great cosy place to enjoy great sorbet and gelatos.

Lara Croft

Check out the new banner…I was attempting a Lara Croft jump over a “chasm” at Ta Phrom in Cambodia…the exact place where Tomb Raider was shot.

According to S who took the shot, it was a wimpy jump…hehe…but we had fun.

So What is your Comfort Food?

Nanjing Chicken Rice from Whampoa Market is the best!

The fragrant yellow rice, the tow kay with cuttlefish, the white chicken with skin.

When you need familiarity, comfort, support and stability in your life…eat CHICKEN RICE.

yeah…it never fails to deliver a quick pick me up whenever I feel tired or down.

Cambodia and Slogans

I just came back from Cambodia and the 2 most impactful things that remain with me about the country is the people and their ancient monuments.

The guide books and websites are all right about one thing….one is never prepared for the sheer awesome beauty and grandeur of angkor. It’s seriously breathtaking and I found myself sighing away regularly at the sheer beauty, delicacy and vastness of the temples during my 3 day stint at angkor.

There were these huge banners in blue everywhere that spanned across the dirt road leading into angkor that proclaimed “Tourism brings about employment and job opportunities“. (so blatant right?!) When I was there, there were already like 50 over hotels springing up to cater to the vast number of tourist coming in to experience the angkor….check out the photo I snapped of a never ending stream of tourists making their way up and down to view the sunset at Bakheng Hill.

Dinner & Dance

There was a company D&D recently and I was throughly entertained by the performances by various colleagues. Kudos to all the hard work and rehearsals that they had to go through just to make it an engaging and entertaining nite for everyone!

With the theme of the night being, Furs, Feathers and Fantasy (so mardi gras right?)… check out Roy’s drama outfit for the sleazy Pussycat Doll’s Dance! I was wearing my mum’s gaudy dress and Jann was trying to be bright and cheery. All in all, a really colourful combo don’t you think? hahaha….
