Life For Rent
Dido
I haven’t ever really found a place that I call home
I never stick around quite long enough to make it
I apologise that once again I’m not in love
But it’s not as if I mind that your heart aint exactly breaking
It’s just a thought, only a thought
And if my life is for rent and I don’t learn to buy
Well I deserve nothing more than I get
Cos nothing I have is truly mine
I’ve always thought that I would love to live by the sea
To travel the world alone and live more simply
I have no idea what’s happened to that dream
Cos there’s really nothing left here to stop me
It’s just a thought, only a thought
And if my life is for rent and I don’t learn to buy
Well I deserve nothing more than I get
Cos nothing I have is truly mine
While my heart is a shield and I won’t let it down
While I am so afraid to fail so I won’t even try
Well how can I say I’m alive
If my life is for rent…

Fun Run

I had fun during the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge despite the wet, rainy and muddy conditions.
Looking at the happy faces, the great team spirit and cool t-shirt designs that the various teams put forth was really an eye-opener. Everyone was really just raring to go and a bit of rain wasn’t going to let it dampen anyone’s spirits…
The huge crowds, wet slippery conditions however made it difficult to really get into your stride etc…I finished it in 33.24mins and am glad to emerge from it unscathed and relatively dry.
but I still haven’t washed my muddy shoes… sigh.

Jewellery Making Class

Went for a basic wired jewellery making class last Sat with my sis and mum.
I expected it to be really hard…but to my surprise, making your own accessories can be fun and easy. I had a great time at the class and left with the urge to start making MORE.
My sis was even more inspired than me and she’s already wearing her own self-made necklace and earrings.

Back from Bangkok
Bought sooo000 many Happy Tree Friends t-shirts in Bangkok. They were so cheap and I just love the totally in-your-face humour & violence.
I enjoyed Bangkok, but I swear I will never travel with a big group again. There were different families with different expectations, agendas and physical make up. This made the group too diverse and difficulties in communication arose.
Thank god there were a few of us who had similar travel taste who manage to stick together, sleep together, get good bargains together and basically supported each other throughout the trip.
It’s true that travelling together can either make or break a relationship… am glad I found some great travelling companions.

Off to Bangkok!
Yay, am off to Bangkok with the girls for a short break.
This trip was planned last year in Oct…it was supposed to be a celebratory trip in honour of completing my Masters. *just needed some sort of excuse to go shopping actually*
So with my luck, the always peaceful and welcoming Thailand had to have RIOTS now of all times….just when I was sooo looking forward to my BK shopping spree…damnit.
Anyway, Thaksin is stepping down now…hopefully nothing else marrs my trip. Whatever it is…I am off to take a break and chill.
See ya.

Little Red Indian

I decked my niece in a tablecloth and ribbon during the wedding lunch reception of my sis. Doesn’t she look like one of the little red Indians?
So cute!
