On Sunday afternoon, while at a good friend’s wedding, I started feeling woozy. It started with a painful throat that super hurts when you swallow. I thought I was coming down with tonsils…AGAIN.

I have a recurring problem with tonsils…I guess one of these days I have to stop being a wimp and have them surgically removed once and for all. But currently I am still a wuss…so I rather suffer for now.

Anyway, I went to the Docs that very Sunday and it turns out I was having a super high fever at 39.8 degrees. Got 2 days MC straight away and a reminder to come back immediately if I developed rashes…he suspected dengue.

His medication was good and I recovered fast enough to enjoy the 2 days mc…I had enough sleep, walked out for lunches, travelled for dinners, brought my dog out for walks, packed the house, had long chats on the phone with old friends…man, it was the best 2 days mc of my life!

Unfortunately, I am healthy again and it’s back to work for me. It was a good break though.

Found this great place to eat during the CNY period…we were walking our dog at East Coast park when we stumbled upon the newly renovated seafood center. The entire area is situated just beside the beach and the constant sea breeze is a definite pull factor to visit the place and enjoy a good seafood meal.

There’s a whole gamut of restaurants for you to choose from…of course the typical Singaporean way to find out which is the better restaurants would be to check out the crowds. *the bigger the crowd, the better the restaurant lah!*

Anyway, I went down a couple of days later to eat at the Jumbo Seafood restaurant with my family and thank god I made reservations! check out the crowd just milling around waiting for seats!
