We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
The dog and the hubs are snoring in symphony these days.
In a desperate bid for me to get some quality sleep, we headed down to OSIM and bought the OSIM Sona pillow. Er, I did get a good sleep the very night that the hubs used it…but according to him, that’s coz he was up half the night trying to get use to/comfortable with the new pillow *oops*
Let’s hope the new pillow works…*cross fingers*
Update: YAY! The pillow is great…the snoring has stopped and I can now catch my 40 winks without too much disruption.
The hubs bought this lovely watch for me for my birthday and I am loving it!
Ya it’s not the typically girly, fashionable or one of those branded watches, but it’s sporty, durable and I thought super wearable for all occasions. Meaning that this suits my lifestyle and my lazy character of wearing 1 item to suit a myriad of occassions.
Basically, I can wear the watch 24 hours a day without needing to take it off hahahaha…. Read the rest of this entry »
These days when I am at a store paying for something that I bought, I usually tell them not to give me a paper bag since I tote around a big enough bag to carry my purchases around and I am trying to do my bit to save the Earth. However looking at these creative and uber cool paper bags, I don’t think I could resist rejecting one! You can see the amount of thought, creativity and research in human interaction etc put in to design one of these…
When you think about it…you spend more time with your colleagues than with your family. So having colleagues that are supportive, reliable and kind are important and also ingredients to a great team. Am glad that despite all my gripes about work, about how silly and meaningless certain policies are yadda yadda… I would say that it’s still a great team that I have to work with. *phew*
Anyway, as with all asian culture, food =community =family =bonding= lunch@pantry
Wa… had a great time, lots of food, laughs and fun at a BBQ organized by the IT dept at work. There were more boys than girls…but we managed to take some girly shots.
S and I signed up for the Nike+ Human Race 10k for shallow reasons.

It’s coz we want the Nike t-shirt with its unqiue ID printed on it…shallow right? hahahaha…..I love that I have friends like that to run with
Quick, join us if you are just as shallow…heh
I donated blood for the first time yesterday. I was rejected the last time due to weight issues and certain countries that I travelled to but this time everything was ok etc. My blood pressure was good, I just hit 45kg but was healthy and was cleared as a potential donor.
It was relatively painless actually…the only part that so called hurt was the iron test hahaha….but the blood donation itself was painless. Than again I had a nurse who was really sweet, professional and assuring. She’s even pictured here in the Red Cross Blood Donor site:
I also got a “No Chicken Award” certificate for my first time donating…it was corny and cute! Anyway, I think it’s a great thing to be able to contribute in a small way back to society and know that this is being used to save lives. Thinking of being a donor, just click here.
Frieda is blogging away these days and discussing about love, life & leading. Check out her very interesting blog.
She’s also been added to my links page.
An online diary of sorts...frivolous, causal and about things that I like or interest me...it's not to be taken too seriously as life is just too short.
